It's in the mail!

Our LifeBook, that is. We put together a photo album of family pictures on Snapfish.com, and we ordered it a couple days ago. As soon as we receive it and look it over, we will send it on to our case worker at the Missouri Baptist Children's Home. She will keep it, and at the staffing at the end of January, she will use it to introduce us to the staffing committee. Some of you have asked if we will be in attendance at the staffing, and we will not. But our case worker will talk them through our book and answer any questions they have about us. They will have access to our home study as well. After the staffing, they will notify us of their decision. And that's all I know so far. It's a brand new process for us so we really are learning as we go. But I am so thankful to have a friend who works "in the system" who can explain the process to us, as well as a case worker who has a lot of experience with state custody cases as well.

Crazy times, eh?

I know that the odds are against us actually getting the boys. But honestly, we want what is best for them. And if the staffing committee feels that remaining with their foster family is in the best interest of the boys, that's what we want to. But, if the staffing committee feels that we are the best choice of a family for the boys, then we are ready for that. It would mean a lot of adjustments, but the Lord will equip us for whatever he calls us to!
