Sending you some love...

People have been asking how things are going with the adoption. I feel like I'm in business meeting, standing up and saying, "No Report!" There is literally nothing happening right now. We haven't heard from our new case worker for a couple of months, there are no birth moms considering adoption through our agency, and there is absolutely nothing to report. Which is kind of the nature of adopting, I guess. I long time of "No Report", and then one day you get a call and everything starts happening all at once.

For those of you who have wondered how we are doing, there's maybe more to share. We're doing good. Yes, it's still hard to wait, but I really feel like we are coming into the end of our waiting time. Like this period of waiting has been a mountain, and we are finally over the crest and have started down the other side. That being said, I have no idea how long the trip down the mountain will take... but it's enough to feel like we've started the descent. I have no tangible reason to feel this way, but I think God is giving it to us. We have a renewed sense of anticipation, like we truly are moving toward something and not just spinning our wheels. The grueling climb is over, the breathtaking view from the top has been taken in, and now we are hurrying down toward home. It may still be a long way off, but we know now that we'll get there. And, best of all, we know that God is racing down the mountain with us, eager to show us all that is waiting for us at the bottom. So we'll continue to walk with Him each day, taking in what He's showing us and learning from Him, just as we have all along this journey. And when we finally get there, we'll give Him all the praise and glory!

Thanks for walking this journey with us as you continue to pray for us!
