Kansas City Children's Museum

On Friday, Steve drove to Lawrence to hang out with his cousin, so he dropped Nathan and I off in Liberty to spend the day with Grandpa and Grandma! We went to the Kansas City Children's Museum and had a great time! There were so many things to do. Nathan enjoyed shopping in the grocery store, digging for fossils in Egypt, saving puppets as a fireman, playing doctor in the hospital wing, playing with the rocks on a construction site, and building with blocks in the tree house. There was also an entire room for doing art, a puppet area, and a huge stage where he and I sang songs from High School Musical and learned how to run the lights and open and shut the curtain. We all had a wonderful time. He wants to go back again someday and take a few friends to play with him!

(I know this post has a lot of pictures... but hey! I believe in giving the people what they want!)

Well, there was a drum sculpture, which had different barrels and tubs all hanging on a frame and you could drum on them, but you had to use your hands and he prefers sticks, you know? He did play with that but I didn't get any pictures because he would run over and hit it, then run to something else.

And did you see the recycling center right beside it??? That's where we get paper supplies and such for VBS!!! Next time we go, we should take all the kids and let them play while we get supplies!

Yes, I loved that recycling place! I think taking a combination VBS shopping/play trip would be so much fun!!
