Today we were watching a Steven Curtis Chapman DVD, and during one of the songs, I started to tear up a little. The song was about adoption, and while he was singing the songs, Steven Curtis Chapman had a video playing with pictures of various children, as well as shots of his own family when they met the little girl that they adopted. Very sweet.

Well, as we were watching, Nathan noticed that I was getting teary, so he came over to me and asked, "You OK, Mommy?" I told him I was, and he climbed up in my lap to "hold me" while we watched. A minute later he looked up at me again and asked, "The music hurt you?" His face was so earnest and concerned. I found myself smiling through my tears as I assured him that I was not hurt. I told him that seeing the pictures of little children who need loving homes reminds me how blessed I am that he is my little boy, and I told him how much his daddy and I love him.

And I am thankful that God has blessed us with Nathan, an incredible boy with a quick mind and a caring heart. I love being his mommy!

OK, you are adding to my desire I spoke with you about, aren't you? I can't think about those children without just considering what a blessing it would be to bring one into our forever family. If it is God's Will, it will happen someday! Right now I have the burden in my heart, but I am waiting to see if it is what God wants in our family! Time will tell....!
