Soccer Boy!

OK... I know that after all those "deep thoughts" and "so what we have learned" posts that I've been sharing lately, you were wondering if I'd ever share some pictures of Nathan again. Well never fear... I know what the people want! And, I love sharing cute pictures of my boy, so really it's a win-win!

Nathan started soccer a couple weeks ago through the YMCA preschool sports program. He had already done basketball and LOVED it! The first day of soccer he was a little tentative at first, but once his friend Brett showed up he was good to go!

Nathan dribbling the soccer ball
And cheering for a friend
Nathan power-kicking the ball down the field...
...And into the goal!
These last few are from his second week of soccer. Notice the difference in his clothing. Ah yes... we love that Missouri weather!
Nathan got the first turn at playing goalie this week. He didn't let any shots through!

These sports programs at our YMCA are really well done. I remember before basketball wondering what they could possibly teach a bunch of 4 and 5-year-olds in 5 weeks, but I was amazed at the actual skills they learned. Coach Adam, who coached the basketball and the soccer, is really great with the kids! Nathan is learning so much, and having a blast! After 5 weeks of soccer it will be time to sign him up for tee-ball.
