Future Worship Leader

This morning, I walked past one of the rooms in our house and saw Nathan busily setting the place up. When I asked him what he was doing, he said he was getting ready for early service. He had set up boxes and toys all around the room. One was his microphone stand with mic. One box with a blanket in it was the nursery. He even had a box that was the amplifier for his guitar. He said to me, "Are you ready to worship?", so I came in and sat down. He lead me in singing Come Christians Join to Sing, Forever, Here I am to Worship, and Cares Chorus. Then he said, "Did you worship God?" When I told him yes, he said, "Thank you for coming to early service!"

When I left the room, I laughed so hard I nearly cried. It was all too cute. But it was neat too, because that was my 2 1/2-year-old in there worshipping God and inviting others to join him. I love it when God speaks to me through my own kid!

The staff might want to be careful at FBC...if we can get youth, music, and pastor all in one, vote him in to lead our church in worship services. Jay, Casey, and Steve be afraid, be very afraid!

I cried to, Real tears. We even worshipped at the park. Psalm 8:2 says From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise... If we all had that childlike faith.
